Hey there!
There has never been a time when thinking differently has been more under attack. We are constantly being told what to think but no one is teaching people "how to think". On this website, ideas will be analysed, critical thinking will be required and most of all, discourse will be encouraged.
All About THOUGHTS
Today, truth has taken a new connotation: “how it makes me feel” and our feelings reflect our emotions. However, post-truth is the rejection of ABSOLUTES even though our world is governed by absolutes. From the laws of gravity to the science behind reproduction. The term “my truth, your truth” has become more and more pervasive.

In one of his teachings, the late RC Sproul taught on epistemology: how do we know what we know? He talked about the importance of thinking and structures of a worldview—how one can discern truth from falsehood. Sproul illustrated his thoughts on epistemology through the use of a sculpture by Auguste Rodin called the thinker. The sculpture is a representation of a time when people applied cognitive and critical thinking – rationalism and empiricism before coming to any conclusion. The opposite is the case in our time when people “feel” instead of “think”.

Truth and fact do not undermine empathy, one would argue it’s the opposite. “We live in a world where preferences have supplanted objective truth” (R C Sproul). Thinking requires of us mental strength as well as interior examination. We do no justice to ourselves as learners and educators when we replace truth with sentimentalism.
Truth clarifies, it forces us to be accountable, it eliminates indifference, truth rejects conformity and questions emotions. Truth is life, truth sets us free, truth is JESUS.
THOUGHTS aims to bring truth to both younger and older generation by pushing each other to search for the meaning behind our existence, speak against ideologies and rhetoric that limit the thinking of youths. We believe that truth is absolute and it shapes our opinions. We owe it to ourselves to be critical thinkers and engage in conversations that sheds light on religious, social and political issues. Everything we know springs from the knowledge of God and as Christians, we seek truth from God and our view points are shaped by His word. In addition, we hope to bring clarity to the wrong interpretations of some biblical doctrines; discuss and write about social and political issues of today and how we as individuals can contribute to the growth of society. We need to reinforce the structure and importance of moral values and faith in God, giving a biblical perspective on all matters pertaining to life; because going through life without ever evaluating, criticising or analysing how we see the world is what Socrates called “the unexamined life".
