The decision to take a step back from our Royal duties was a simple one; we were pushed

For someone who has on many occasions expressed how she had always wanted a big family, leaving one of the biggest families seemed incomprehensible to many, and rightfully so. Meghan and Harry's reason for leaving the Royal family was, as they shared in the fifth episode of the docuseries, due to the lack of protection from the Royal family:
I wasn't just being thrown to the wolves; I was being fed to the wolves
Countless media leaks and possible Royal involvements?
A good enough attention was placed on the "alleged" role the British media played in the constant harassment and subsequent internet trolls targeted at Meghan. First, the private letter Meghan discretely sent to her father at the guided council of the late Queen and the now King Charles III was leaked by the Daily Mail. Not getting any support in the aftermath of her letter being released to the public without her consent, she takes legal action against the Mail, rightfully so. The litigation culminated in the Duchess choosing to withdraw from the public eye and her duties altogether. We are then shown some clips of their brief stay in Canada.
My tenth take: How was someone's private letter stolen and released to the public without their consent? That is wild to me, I mean, I can't imagine that happening to me. It is sickening and should be condemned unequivocally.
The palace ended up signing off on the Duke and Duchess moving to South Africa, a decision Prince Harry emphatically says his brother, father, and the Queen's office knew about because the palace signed off on it. Unfortunately, the document was leaked to The Times newspaper, which, as a result, made it into a public debate. After the South Africa plan fell through, Prince Harry proposed another plan for Canada. He recalls telling his dad that he and Meghan would be willing to relinquish their Royal titles if necessary. According to Prince Harry, he was told by his father to put the Canada proposal in writing because that was the only way the palace could sign off on it. Days later, that proposal is leaked.
We gradually start to see a series of problems, beginning with discrepancies in communications between Harry and the Royal palace and, more specifically, with the late Queen. There are hints and suggestions that Prince Harry's letter to his dad about the possibility of him and his family permanently relocating to Canada that was leaked was probably done by the palace. Finally, the Duke and Duchess drafted and released a statement of them stepping back (not down) from their Royal duties. Meghan reiterates that there was never a time she wanted to stop being part of the Royal family, they just wanted control over their own lives.
My eleventh take: I remember watching it all play out on the news, and the narrative was that Meghan was the primary perpetrator. I was happy to hear Prince Harry come to her defense and set the record straight. He made the decision, not Meghan.
This episode was very hard to watch. In some parts of it, I wanted to scream, in other parts, I couldn't believe the amount of information that was being shared with the public. It was simply a lot to digest. The amount of hate and its viciousness she received was unbelievably painful to watch. No one should have to go through that. Seeing the way a seed of hate sprung into actual human beings hating another fellow human being was scary. It was all so unnecessary.
The farewell
I tried so hard, but it wasn't enough - Meghan Markle.
